Presentation given and discussion led by Alison Gillespie on ways to make your backyard attractive to birds, butterflies and other wildlife, and how these projects can benefit the watersheds. We also jointly discussed many projects underway throughout the watersheds. |

NNWB Volunteers again joined Patrick Kraich, Montgomery Parks Trail Maintenance Volunteer Coordinator, to help with maintenance work on the Rural Legacy Trail from Woodlawn Park to Sandy Spring. This beautiful trail is located within the watershed of the Northwest Branch and is historically significant, commemorating the involvement of Montgomery County residents in the Underground Railroad and celebrates the Quaker heritage and traditions of Sandy Spring. |
