The following photos were taken by Masaya Maeda of Anacostia Watershed Society at a stormwater pipe outfall (or buried stream) in Washington DC. The discharge from the outfall flows to the NW Branch of the Anacostia. The outfall is the site where sediment pollution was identified during the Stream Corridor Assessment (SCA) Survey in 2005. This stream has relatively severe erosion around the confluence with the NW Branch due to the torrential discharges to this stream on rainy days. See the photos of the confluence from the SCA report.
