[27 - 36%] - I am disappointed that the Intercounty Connector (ICC) is being built across the NWB watershed so I want to support an organization that is dedicated to protecting and improving the watershed.
[6 - 8%] - Other
I believe stream restoration in general is far more important than appears to be recognized even by "environmentalists" and that success will require that it become a common objective of the public at large, not just through regulatory actions.
good organization
I am generally interested in environmental issues. I would spend time in the parks, but I really don't feel safe there.
I try to think and act local
I am concerned with what appears to be a lack of interest by state and local governments with urban and suburban nature conservation and watershed issues. I would like to see better training of utility and infrastructure workers and management in the these very areas. I don't want the future of our streams to be the concrete drainage ditches found in other communities across the nation.
Though I don't use the NNWB much, I hope to and I understand the importance of preserving a clean and natural waterway in the area.

14. Do you have any other comments about NNWB activities that you would like to share?
Glad to collaborate with NNWB as part of FOSC Stormwater Committee
I see good work being done by the Park Service and whatever we do should support their efforts. I live near the Riggs Road gristmill.
I did not check a number of activities that I do think are important, but I think some of these must become the domains of neighborhood groups who are focused more narrowly. I think NNWB needs to find a way to catalyze more neighborhood groups, therby enlarging the number of people and bringing more resources to bear on the problems. This may be a pipe dream but we will not achieve a large success if we cannot find a way.
Would like to know about your "green teams; would like them to be more active in PG county. I used to do survey work; I think you could have worded some of these questions better. Also, will the results be tallied and summarized on your website and will you let folks know when and where the survey data are presented; it's a good idea to promote respons rate in surveys.
We need better connectors into DC, especially from PG County.
Would love to see more NNWB activities in Prince George's County!
no
Our lives have been too busy the last few years to participate. We are helping to raise grandchildren and trying to retire. We would like to do more in the future.
The NNWB needs to hire a staff member (preferably an Executive Director) in order to become a more sustainable organization.
No
We spend the majority of our time (mostly walking) along the NE Branch. Would like to see some similar efforts there
More in PG county
I appreciate your good efforts, but cannot contribute my time to help.
I'm in the Sligo Creek sub-watershed and at present fully booked with Natural History Coomm, being a section steward, Weed Warrior work, and etc. Still, I love the fall zone of NWB especially ... and every good stream deserves a group of humans to advocate for it.
I regret I cannot attend your monthly Tuesday meetings due to a schedule conflict.
I am currently active in many activities affecting Northwest branch
Still upset about destruction of the Mahonia. It should not be on the invasive species list. Targeting the Mahonia as an invasive species has a negative impact on the trail, and no positive effect by any sane measure.
There have been a number of events these past two years that I wanted to take part in with my family, but time didn't allow.
I suggested that you speak at the WOCA membership meeting on Nov. 16.
15. If you answered affirmatively to questions 10, 11, 12, and/or 13 and are willing to have someone follow up with you, please give us a way to contact you.
